1. Classroom Opener (The Safe & Unsafe Game)

Demonstration: Hold up two cards, a Green Check (Safe) and a Red Cross (Unsafe).
Call out scenarios: "Running in the hallway," "Holding an adult's hand to cross the street," "Playing with a knife in the kitchen."
Have the children point to the correct card.
Concept: Explain that our surroundings are the places we go every day, and we need to know how to act safely in them.

2. Core Concepts: Where We Go Everyday

A. My Family and Home

We live with our family. We should help keep our home clean.
Action: Ask, "What is one chore you do to help your parents?" (e.g., picking up toys).

B. My School

School is where we learn and play.
Important places: The classroom, playground, library, and restrooms.

C. Safety Rules (The Big Three)

On the Road: Always look both ways before crossing. Only cross at the zebra crossing.
At Home: Never touch hot stoves or electrical plugs with wet hands.
At School: Do not push on the stairs or run in the corridors.

3. Classroom Activity: Building Our School

Prep: Blank paper and crayons.

The Task:

Ask students to draw their favorite place in the school (e.g., the playground, the library).
Have them present their drawing to the class and say one safety rule for that specific place (e.g., "This is the playground. My rule is 'no pushing on the slide'").

Question: "Imagine you are walking home and you see a strange dog barking loudly. Should you try to pet it, or should you walk away and tell an adult? Why?" (Checks situational safety awareness).
